Indian opener Ishan Kishan and South Africa chinaman spinner Tabraiz Shamsi were involved in a heated verbal exchange during the 3rd T20I on Tuesday. The spinner initiated the verbal exchange as he wasn’t impressed by Kishan’s attacking intent, who smashed him for a flat maximum a delivery ago.
On Tuesday, India and South Africa met in the 3rd game of the five T20I series at Vizag. While the Proteas entered the game with a 2-0 lead after winning the first two fixtures, it was a must-win game for the Men in Blue to stay alive in the series.
Batting first after losing the toss, Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad provided India with a flying start as both openers added 97 runs in 10 overs for the first wicket. Kishan, in particular, went after the left-arm chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi.

In the 9th over of the Indian innings, the left-handed southpaw smashed the spinner for a flat six. On the very next delivery, Shamsi delivered a full toss to Kishan. The batter played a perfect reverse sweep but found the fielder to perfection at the point.
Tabraiz Shamsi didn’t like Kishan’s attacking intent and spilt a few words towards the opener. To which, Ishan Kishan didn’t hold back and let loose a few himself. Thankfully, the heat didn’t escalate much and it was just a passing affair.
