David Wiese is another experienced campaigner DC might turn their attention to in this important phase. The South African-Namibian all-rounder played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2023 season but went unsold in this year’s players’ auction.
The 38-year-old might not be the one who can be used for full quota of four overs. However, he can be used for a couple of overs which might turn out to be effective. Moreover, he can be a handy lower-order batter who will be able to cash-in on chances to better effect.
3. Rassie van der Dussen
Rassie van der Dussen is one of the productive top-order batters in the current era. He set his base price of INR 2 crore at the player’s auction. Despite his batting credentials, he could not find a buyer in the IPL 2024 players’ auction.
He is someone who can add a great dimension to DC’s batting unit that has misfired so far this season. If DC manage to secure his services, they will not only bolster their batting unit but will also press their case to qualify for the playoffs.
