With two vital points up for grabs, Gujarat Giants are up against Rajasthan Royals in the 24th match of the IPL 2022. In the same contest, New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson took perfect revenge on the English batter Jos Buttler by dismissing him with a perfectly disguised yorker. Buttler had hit the Kiwi pacer for an outrageous six off the previous delivery.

Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and invited Gujarat Titans to bat first. The Royals started brilliantly with the ball after removing the top three batters for 53 runs in the 7th over. However, the Titans skipper Hardik Pandya bailed his side out with a wonderful unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 52 deliveries. He got massive support in the middle from Abhinav Manohar, who scored vital 43 runs. Meanwhile, David Miller provided the finishing touches with a quickfire 31 runs off 14 deliveries to take Gujarat Titans to 192/4 in 20 overs.

Jos Buttler threatened to take the game away, Lockie Ferguson bamboozled the batter

Extending his purple patch, Jos Buttler came out all guns blazing and started to smash Gujarat Titans’ bowlers all around the park. Searching for a wicket, Hardik Pandya called his most lethal weapon Lockie Ferguson.

The Kiwi pacer wasted no time and removed Ravi Ashwin on the very first delivery of the over. However, Buttler was unfazed at the other end. He scooped Ferguson for a six over fine leg to complete another half-century in the tournament.

On the very next delivery, Lockie Ferguson bowled a brilliant disguised slow, loopy yorker to rattle Jos’s stumps. The response could not be any batter as the wicket broke Rajasthan’s back in the chase.
