Chennai Super Kings released the experienced campaigner Ambati Rayudu ahead of the mega auction. The right-handed batsman enrolled himself as the wicketkeeper-batsman for a base price of Rs 2 crore, the maximum price bracket. When everyone expected CSK would let go of Rayudu,
Notably, CSK once again targeted the veteran and they successfully acquired his services. During the first day of the mega auction, CSK recruited the services of Ambati Rayudu for Rs 6.75 crore. The veteran batsman proved to be dangerous in a few games where he played marathon knocks.
Rayudu played 16 games for CSK in the last season where he scored 257 runs at a sensational strike rate of 151.17. He scored two half-centuries in IPL 2021 season and will be looking to cash in on more in the upcoming season. Rayudu scored 3916 runs in 195 IPL appearances including 1 century and 21 fifties.
