Lucknow Super Giants’ skipper KL Rahul made a massive remark regarding his young pacer Mohsin Khan after sealing the qualification to playoffs. The IPL 2022 has been a season for the young Indian pacers as a number of youngsters have left their mark.

The likes of Umran Malik, Mukesh Choudhary, Arshdeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and Kuldeep Sen have managed to show control over their bowling alongside the pace. Meanwhile, the most impressive pacer among all the rookies has been LSG‘s Mohsin Khan.

He is tall, he is quick, has a commendable control over his craft, and more importantly, the left-arm pacer bowls the hard length to trouble the batters. The 23-years-old pacer from Lucknow has impressed everyone with his accuracy and the wicket-taking ability with the new ball and the old ball.

Mohsin Khan has accounted for 13 wickets in 8 matches at an average of 13.23. He has one of the best economy rates this season as the left-arm pacer has been a miser giving away runs at an economy rate of 5.93. After delivering a match-winning spell of 16/4 against Delhi Capitals, Mohsin Khan bowled another match-defining spell of 20/3 against Kolkata Knight Riders.

After winning the nail-biter against Kolkata Knight Riders by two runs and qualifying for the playoffs, the skipper KL Rahul heaped praises on his young pacer.

“He has got great skills but he has used them cleverly and smartly. He knows when to use the slow one and the fast one. I have no doubt he’d be donning the India colours soon. They are always looking for left-arm bowlers,” said the LSG skipper in the post-match presentation.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul also made another contribution with the bat with an unbeaten knock of 68 runs off 51 deliveries. He now has amassed 537 runs in 14 matches this season at an average of 48.81.
