Sunrisers Hyderabad had an abysmal season last year as they hardly won games. The Orange Army managed to win only three games in the last edition and lost the rest of the games. Things turned from bad to worse when David Warner was stripped of the captaincy post. Besides that, SRH axed him from the set-up.

Sunrisers parted ways with David Warner after the IPL 2021 season. The former SRH captain will be playing for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season. DC bought the Australian opener for Rs 6.25 crore at the mega auction. Meanwhile, SRH ran through a major overhaul as they released most of their players.

They retained Kane Williamson and two uncapped Indians namely Abdul Samad and Umran Malik ahead of the auction. SRH strengthened their base by signing pretty good players at the auction. Apart from that, they have also revamped their coaching set-up by signing top cricketing brains for the next season.
