Shardul Thakur announced his arrival in a grand fashion when he made his Test debut against Australia at The Gabba. The right-arm medium-fast bowling all-rounder scored 67 in the first innings while also picking up 3 important wickets.

Coming to the second innings, he took 4 wickets to his name and ended up with 7 wickets. He gained the trust of the selectors as he justified his selection right with his active contribution. The Indian team management named him in the upcoming T20I series against England.

Thakur hasn’t played many T20Is as he represented the team only in 17 matches. The bowler took 23 wickets, registering his personal best bowling figures of 4/27. Talking about his record in IPL, he took 46 wickets in 45 games. He will be looking forward to the upcoming challenge against England.
