2. Shahrukh Khan
Over the last couple of years, Shahrukh Khan has grown into a prominent name in the Indian domestic circuit. He has grown into a power-hitting finisher, hence, many teams were behind the 27-year-old to sign him up for IPL 2022.
Punjab Kings shelled out a whopping INR 9 crore to re-sign Shahrukh Khan in the auctions for the Indian Premier League. However, the lanky lad failed to repay the faith and could only score 117 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 108.33. Subsequently, Khan was dropped from playing 11 midway through the season.
Jitesh Sharma got a chance in his place and the wicketkeeper-batter grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Courtesy of Jitesh’s rise, Punjab Kings are likely to release Shahrukh Khan as it will also add a massive amount of INR 9 crore to their auction purse.
