The English all-rounder is one of the most popular all-rounders in the T20 circuit around the globe. Given his utility, Punjab Kings signed Benny Howell for INR 40 lakh for the Indian Premier League 2022.
However, the France-born all-rounder didn’t get a chance during the entire IPL 2022. Punjab Kings preferred West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith over Benny Howell for the entire edition.
Looking at the depth Punjab Kings have in their squad, it would be difficult for Benny Howell to get game time during IPL 2023. Hence, the franchise could be inclined to release Benny Howell ahead of IPL 2023.
