Mumbai Indians (MI) endured their worst-ever season in the Indian Premier League as they were the first team to crash out of the competition after losing 8 matches on the trot. They finished the season at the bottom of the league standings with four wins and 10 losses after 14 league games.
The five-time champions will be eager to bounce back in the upcoming edition of the IPL. The preparations for next season will begin with the trading window that will open one month ahead of the auction for IPL 2023. The Mumbai-based franchise will be eager to sign a few players in the trading window that will strengthen their squad.
Hence, in this post, we will take a look at the 3 players Mumbai Indians might trade ahead of IPL 2023.
3. Anmolpreet Singh
Anmolpreet Singh is an exciting young talent and has been associated with the Mumbai Indians since 2019. However, he didn’t have enough chances to prove himself. Last year, he was included in two games after star batter Suryakumar Yadav suffered an injury. But the 24-year-old failed to grab the opportunity.
He could only score 13 runs in two games and was eventually dropped post the recovery of Yadav. The rise of Tilak Varma and Dewald Brevis in the middle order of the side leaves very little hope for Anmolpreet.
Hence, the Mumbai Indians might trade him in the trading window to extend their purse or get someone else to provide another dimension for the team.
