“You dropped Hooda for this flop?” – Twitter bashes Virat Kohli mercilessly after another failure
\A lot was anticipated ahead of Virat Kohli’s return to the T20 internationals as the former Indian skipper was named in the Indian playing XI for the 2nd T20I game against England. It was even a difficult pill to swallow for everyone, including fans and pundits as the in-form batter Deepak Hooda made a way for the senior batter.
On Saturday, India faced England in the 2nd game of the three-T20I series at Edgbaston. The Men in Blue walked into the game with a lead of 1-0 and aim to seal the series by winning back-to-back games. Meanwhile, the English skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and invited Rohit Sharma & co. to bat first. Big news for India from the middle was the return of the seniors to the side, including Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah.
In a surprise for Team India, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant came out to open the batting. The left-hand-right-hand duo gave India a flying start as both openers attacked the English bowlers from the very first delivery. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant added 49 runs off just 29 deliveries for the first wicket. However, the debutant Richard Gleeson dismissed the Indian skipper for his first-ever wicket in international cricket.

Virat Kohli messes up another opportunity with the bat
Following Rohit’s wicket, the Run Machine entered the arena amid thunderous applause from the crowd but his knock could not last long. Kohli’s disappointing run with the bat continued as he could only stay for three deliveries in the middle.
On the first delivery of the 7th over, Virat Kohli tried to swat Richard Gleeson in the air and went hard with his shot. However, the ball caught the outside half of his bat and went high up in the air. Dawid Malan, stationed at the point, ran back and made no mistake while completing a wonderful grab to dismiss the Indian batter.
The fans were furious with Virat Kohli as he got an opportunity in place of an in-form batter, Deepak Hooda. They did not spare Kohli and gave him a proper bashing amid a poor run of form.
