Virat Kohli’s form has been the talk of the town since the beginning of the IPL 2022. The voices have been increasing with every passing game and every failure. On Sunday, the Indian superstar registered his 3rd golden duck of the season, and once again, the experts have been advising Kohli to take a break from the game. Meanwhile, Former Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar has opined that Virat Kohli should take a break from the IPL fixtures but not from the India matches.

Gavaskar’s views came after another failure from Kohli on Sunday as the Run machine was dismissed on the first delivery of the game between RCB and SRH.

“As long as the break doesn’t mean he is missing India matches” – Sunil Gavaskar warns Virat Kohli against the break

“As long as the break doesn’t mean he is missing India matches. India matches should be No. 1 priority. It’s as simple as that. I think the thing is that if you don’t play, how do you get your form back? Sitting in the change room, it’s not going to get your form back. The more you play, the more chances you have getting your form back,” opined Sunil Gavaskar while commentating on-air for Star Sports on Sunday.

“You ask all over India, you want everybody in India who follows the game will say ‘we want the form for India’. Right? So you can’t take a break for an India game. You want Kohli to start scoring runs for India. All of us want that. All of us want to see him get back to scoring big runs again,” Sunil Gavaskar concluded.

For the unversed, former India skipper Virat Kohli is having his worst-ever run with the bat. The superstar is going through a tough face as he has only scored 216 runs in 12 games, including three first-ball ducks.
