Team India pacer Mohammed Shami will be leading the pace bowling department for the World Test Championship final. The attack boasts of Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat and Shardul Thakur. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Shami will hold the key to India’s success in the summit clash.

England conditions are expected to favour the bowlers, especially swing bowlers. The veteran Indian pacer also has a good record in the UK. In 13 Test matches, Mohammed Shami has 38 wickets at an average of 40.52, with 4/57 as his best figures in an innings. Talking about his record against Australia, Shami has 40 wickets in 11 matches, including two five-wicket hauls.

Mohammed Shami has also been in great form in the Indian Premier League, winning the Purple Cap for Most wickets in the tournament. With conditions favouring his style of bowling, Shami can prove to be a match-winner for Team India in the World Test Championship final.
