WATCH: Yuzvendra Chahal plays a scintillating lofted straight drive off Alzarri Joseph
West Indies cricket players have been giving it all in the must-win game at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier, they lost the first ODI against India at the same venue. Now, they are playing against the strong Indian side in the second ODI. They won the toss and chose to bowl first.
All the West Indies bowlers were amongst the wickets. Alzarri Joseph and Odean Smith were the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies national cricket team. The duo took 2 wickets each whereas Kemar Roach, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosen and Fabian Allen took a wicket each.
Suryakumar Yadav was the pick of the batters for India. The right-handed batsman anchored the innings superbly as he scored 64 off 83. He also added a 91-run stand alongside KL Rahul (49) that put the hosts in the comfort zone. Just as when Rahul was batting well, he got out in the form of a run-out.

Alzarri Joseph bowled really well for West Indies. He not only took 2 wickets but also kept the Indians in check by bowling at right lines. The lanky paceman bowled his full quota of 10 overs where he conceded 36 runs at an impressive economy rate of 3.6.
Even the best bowler can sometimes miss the length. During the first ball of the last over, Joseph ended up delivering a short-pitched delivery to Yuzvendra Chahal. Meanwhile, Chahal had all the time to play a lofted straight drive for a boundary. The scoreboard read 229/9 at the end of 49 overs.
