Team India are locking horns with West Indies in the ODI series decider at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is a must-win encounter for the Caribbeans whereas India are looking to win the series. West Indies’ limited-overs captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and opted to bowl first.
India ran through a miserable batting collapse early as they lost Rohit Sharma early on. The white-ball captain who scored 60 in the first ODI was dismissed by Kemar Roach. He made his way back to the dressing room after scoring only 5 runs.
Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli also had a bad day at the office as both of them scored 18 runs apiece. Odean Smith rose to the occasion and dismissed both the batters in the 12th over. Initially, he dismissed Pant in the first ball of the 12th over and then outsmarted Kohli in the last ball of the over.
KL Rahul gets run-out after a mix-up with Suryakumar Yadav
Meanwhile, KL Rahul returned to cricketing action after missing the first ODI. He played the game ever so well. Rahul coupled with Suryakumar Yadav and played some fine shots. The duo constructed a 91-run stand before KL Rahul departed for a well-made 49 including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
KL Rahul was dismissed in the form of a run-out after a mix-up with Suryakumar Yadav. The mishap happened during the 30th over when KL Rahul hit Kemar Roach towards the left side of the deep cover. After completing the first run, KL Rahul looked for a chance to take the second run.

It was KL Rahul’s big call and even Suryakumar Yadav acknowledged the same as he responded for the other run as well. But little did KL Rahul know that he was running towards the danger end. In the process, KL Rahul just halted and in the blink of an eye, he was dismissed.
