Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav share a friendly-fight during the no-ball fiasco
On Friday night, a huge controversy stirred up in the game between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. The wicketkeeper batter and DC’s Rishabh Pant tried to call his batters back to the dugout after the umpires didn’t call a no-ball. While the tensions soared high during the particular event, the spin buddies Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal could be seen sharing a light moment on the field.
Meanwhile, the match was eventually concluded and Rajasthan Royals emerged winners by 15 runs despite the valiant effort of Rowman Powell.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals batted first after Sanju Samson lost another toss this season. However, it didn’t affect them a bit and their openers tore the opposition with a whirlwind opening partnership. While Jos Buttler notched up his third century of the season, Devdutt Padikkal returned to the form with a well-compiled fifty. In the end, Sanju Samson pushed RR’s total to 222/3 in 20 overs with a breezy cameo.
Chasing the target, Delhi Capitals kept themselves in the game till the end but they kept losing wickets at the regular interval. With 36 runs required in the last over, the game was good as done. However, Rowman Powell had different ideas in his mind as he smashed Obed McCoy for three maximums on the first three balls.
Then came the moment of the controversy as Obed McCoy delivered a pretty high full-toss on the 4th delivery which should have been called a no-ball. Powell could not connect it and the umpires didn’t call it a no-ball. It practically killed the game for DC and their skipper Rishabh Pant was livid with the call and tried to call their batter back. The umpires intervened and the drama unfolded.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were involved among themselves
with so much drama going around, that the spin-twin of ‘Kul-Cha’ was playing among themselves. When Kuldeep Yadav went towards the umpire asking for the no-ball, Yuzvendra Chahal stopped him mid-way and jokingly bogged him away.
