Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has emerged as one of the most-improved captains in the IPL this season. The youngster is leading Delhi Capitals since the previous season and there is a noticeable difference in his approach this season.

The young skipper could often be seen encouraging his bowlers, giving them confidence in crunch situations. On Friday, in the game between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, Rishabh Pant could be seen guiding left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals were off to a flier courtesy of a great partnership between the opening duo of Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal. With the opening pair going berserk, Rishabh Pant threw the ball to his partnership-breaker Kuldeep Yadav.

Yadav bowled a brilliant first over and gave away only seven runs. However, Jos Buttler decided to smash the spinner in his 2nd over. When Kuldeep returned to bowl the 9th over of the Rajasthan Royals innings Buttler sent the 2nd delivery for a gigantic six and the very next delivery for a four.

After taking a single in between, Jos Buttler returned to the crease to face the final delivery of the over. At the same time, Rishabh Pant came to the rescue of his spinner and advised him something. The bowler then delivered the last ball well outside off stump and Buttler managed to play the ball for just a single towards deep point.

Batting first Rajasthan Royals posted a massive total of 222/2 in 20 overs. Jos Buttler extended his purple patch with another destructive hundred, while Devdutt Padikkal smashed a fifty.

Chasing such a huge total, Delhi Capitals were off to a flyer but they were pegged back with back-to-back wickets of David Warner and Sarafraz Ahmed. At the time of the writing, Rishabh Pant joined Prithvi Shaw in the middle and the duo has to score big and quickly to win the game.
