Watch – Wasim Jaffer Smacks 35 Off 25 Balls Against Asia Lions
Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer played a valiant knock of 35 runs from 25 deliveries, including seven boundaries against Asia Lions. However, it was not enough for India Maharajas to secure a win against Asia Lions while chasing 194 runs.
Jaffer, who was out for a duck in the last game, hit the right chords in their game Asia Lions. Chasing a mammoth total of 194 runs, Wasim Jaffer gave India a perfect start. Despite losing Naman Ojha in the 3rd over, the veteran opener went strong hitting a couple of classical boundaries.
He stroked seven boundaries during his 25-ball stay before Mohammad Rafique got the better of him. After a couple of low scores, Wasim Jaffer showed some form which will give India Maharajas some confident ahead of their next games.

Wasim Jaffer’s dismissal led to a mini-collapse. Yusuf Pathan, Stuart Binny and fast bowler Manpreet Gony got starts but couldn’t carry on the innings as they fell short by 36 runs on Monday at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.
Meanwhile, batting first, Asia Lions had the worst starts losing Tillakaratne Dilshan and Romesh Kaluwithrana early. But Upul Tharanga and Mohammad Yusuf stitched a 78-run stand for the third wicket to revive the innings before former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan launched a carnage. He smacked 69 off 28 deliveries, including four boundaries and seven sixes to post a daunting total of 193 runs which was enough to seal a win.
With this win, Asia Lion consolidate their position at the top with four points three games while World Giants and India Maharajas toil in the 2nd and 3rd spot with two points each.
