Virat Kohli showed some signs of his return to the form against Gujarat Titans with a half-century. However, his runs did more damage for the Royal Challengers Bangalore than good as they came on a pretty slow pace.

However, the Reds, alongside the fans, will be pleased to see their favourite superstar among runs. Kohli scored 58 runs off 53 deliveries against Gujarat Titans to register his first fifty of the IPL 2022. Virat Kohli has already brought his form in the game against CSK and is looking in good touch.

On Wednesday evening, Royal Challengers Bangalore are squaring off against Chennai Super Kings in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League 2022. CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis opened the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore, and the duo gave their side a solid start with 62 runs opening stand before Faf du Plessis got out for 38 runs off 22 deliveries.

It was short and wide delivery from Simarjeet; Kohli wasted no chance and said thank you very much for slapping it handsomely over cover.

However, Virat Kohli failed to get a move on as the Indian batting superstar got out for 30 runs off 33 deliveries.

At the time of writing, the match in hanging in the balance as Royal Challengers Bangalore has scored 110/3 after 14 overs. Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror are batting in the middle for the Reds.

It is a must-win game for both sides as a loss here will eliminate Chennai Super Kings, while Royal Challengers could slip out of the playoffs race with a loss.
