The former Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly danced on London’s streets while celebrating his 50th birthday with friends and family in the UK on the 8th of July. A video of the former skipper grooving to popular Bollywood songs is going viral on social media.

In the video, Sourav Ganguly could be seen dancing to tunes of ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Tu Mera Hero’. The legendary cricketer alongside the family took the streets near London Eye to celebrate his half-century of life.

The Prince of Kolkata looked in the moment alongside his wife Dona and close friends. Meanwhile, his daughter Sana tried to stay away from the crowd. However, the 50-year-old dragged her to make her dance alongside everyone, but after a few small moves of her own, Sana once again went away stating that she will be the DJ.

The video was posted on Twitter with the caption, “And that’s how @SGanguly99 welcomed his 50th birthday with daughter Sana on the streets of #London !”

Earlier, the BCCI chief was pictured celebrating his 50th birthday with fellow teammate Sachin Tendulkar alongside Rajeev Shukla and Jay Shah.

“These are the moments of friendship that stand out and make me smile” – Sachin Tendulkar recalls playing a prank on Sourav Ganguly

Tendulkar and Ganguly formed the greatest opening combination ever in ODI cricket. The left-handed southpaw earned himself a tag of ‘God of off-side’ courtesy of his shot-making abilities on the off-side.

He shares a beautiful friendship with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar off the field as well. Tendulkar recently opened up about the friendship he shares with Sourav Ganguly and revealed a prank he carried out alongside a couple of teammates on the former Indian skipper.

“I remember Sourav was sleeping during an afternoon. Jatin Paranjpe, Kedar Godbole, and I filled his room with water. He woke up and was naturally clueless about what was happening, his suitcases were floating. Finally, he realized it was me, Jatin, and Kedar who had done it. Years later, when I think back, these are the moments of friendship that stand out and make me smile,” Sachin Tendulkar was quoted by Times Now.
