Former India and RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, undoubtedly is having the worst run of his career with the bat. He also has been having his worst-ever run in the Indian Premier League and his lean patch with the bat was extended last night.

The run machine once again was dismissed cheaply for 9 runs against Rajasthan Royals. Pacer Prasidh Krishna bagged the big wicket of Kohli, while Riyan Parag claimed the catch at the backward point. However, the highlight of the play was Parag’s unique celebration after completing the catch in the 2nd over.

Chasing a modest total, Royal Challengers Bangalore promoted Virat Kohli to the opening slot. However, the move didn’t work as King Kohli could only play 10 deliveries in the middle. He looked scratchy from the first ball and was lucky to escape twice against Trent Boult in the first over. However, Prasidh Krishna didn’t take long to claim his prized wicket.

On the 4th delivery of the 2nd over, Krishna bowled a well-directed short delivery. Trying to execute the pull shot, Kohli toe-ended it and the ball lobbed up in the air after hitting the superstar’s helmet. Riyan Parag came running from the backward point and completed the catch with a dive. While Virat Kohli walked off with a smile on his face, Riyan Parag celebrated the wicket with a funny jig.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore were on top after dismissing Rajasthan Royals’ top order cheaply. However, the young all-rounder from Assam played a wonderful counter-attacking knock to take his side to a respectable 144/8 in 20 overs. Riyan Parag remained unbeaten for 56 runs off 31 deliveries, including three beautiful maximums.

The total proved enough as RR’s bowlers dismissed the Royal Challengers for 115 runs in 19.3 overs to register a 29-run victory.
