India’s young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant played one of the purest knocks in the ongoing T20I series against the West Indies. During the second T20I at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Pant absolutely smoked the West Indies’ bowlers with relative ease.
The southpaw was looking to punish every single opportunity that came on his way. He went on to play a marathon knock that helped the team add runs at a faster rate. Pant scored at a sensational strike rate of 185.71.
During his stay at the crease, the southpaw hammered a flurry of seven boundaries and a six. The wicketkeeper-batsman remained not out till the end and helped India post 186/5 in 20 overs. Commentators, former cricketers and fans praised Pant for his spectacular innings.

On the other hand, West Indies fell short of the target as they lost the game by 8 runs. The likes of Nicholas Pooran (62) and Rovman Powell (68) provided a glimmer of hope to the West Indies. However, the Indian bowlers ensured to restrict the opposition to 178/3 in 20 overs. India won the series by 2-0.
