Watch: Nathan Ellis takes a spectacular catch to dismiss Prithvi Shaw

Pocket Dynamite Prithvi Shaw has been in a fine form for Delhi Capitals this IPL season. The young batter is trying to be in the reckoning for a place in the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming world cup.

The youngster has impressed all with his destructive knocks at the top. Prithvi Shaw extended his form to score blistering 41 runs off 20 deliveries before getting out courtesy of a spectacular catch by Nathan Ellis at the boundary.

Delhi Capitals met Punjab Kings in the 32nd match of the IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. For this game, Nathan Ellis was included in the Kings’ playing 11 in place of Odean Smith.

DC’s skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and invited the opposition to bat first. His bowlers proved the decision right as they dismissed the Kings from Punjab for a paltry score of 115 inside 20 overs.

It was always expected to be an easy chase for Delhi Capitals, but the opening duo of David Warner and Prithvi Shaw was in a mood to demolish the opposition.

Chasing a total of 116, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw hammered Punjab Kings’ attack all around the park. The duo added 81 runs inside the powerplay to kill the game at the top. However, while the Aussie opener remained unbeaten for 60 runs off 30 deliveries, his partner got out after some brilliance from Ellis at the boundary.

On the 3rd delivery of the 7th over, Prithvi Shaw decided to slog Rahul Chahar out of the ground. However, he tried to fetch it outside the off-stump and failed to clear the deep midwicket, where Nathan Ellis grabbed a brilliant catch to dismiss the youngster.

Delhi Capitals lost no further wickets and won the game by nine wickets with 9.3 overs remaining. They have now climbed up to 6th place in the points table with three wins and three losses.
