They managed to win 5 matches out of 7 games. CSK maintain a better net run rate of +1.263. The three-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings will play against five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates.
MS Dhoni hits big sixes at the nets
The last time when both these teams met each other, MI showcased their dominance in the first leg. Rohit Sharma & Co beat MS Dhoni & Co by 4 wickets. Meanwhile, CSK captain MS Dhoni looked in superb flow in the practice session at the ICC Academy.
CSK players completed their mandatory 6-day quarantine procedure in Dubai. After that, they hit the training session on August 19. MS Dhoni stole the spotlight after he hit big maximums in the nets. He came down the track and smashed huge sixes.

With almost a month to go for the revised IPL 2021, MS Dhoni is fine-tuning his skills in order to get back to his usual best. The CSK captain managed to score just 37 runs in 7 games at a batting average of 12.33.
CSK requires MS Dhoni’s assistance in the batting unit in the games to come. For sure, the 40-year-old veteran cricketer will be looking forward to making his presence count on the pitch.
