Watch: Mohammed Siraj firmly grabs Kuldeep Yadav’s neck in Chepauk Stadium

Mohammed Siraj grabs Kuldeep Yadav's neck

Mohammed Siraj did complete justice to his role as a fast bowler in the recently-concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. The 26-year-old fast bowler who lost his father in November made his Test debut in the second Test match against the Aussies in Melbourne. He impressed everyone by taking 5 wickets on his debut.

Siraj unleashed his bowling potential in the fourth Test match in Brisbane at The Gabba where he took his maiden five-wicket haul. He ended up as the leading wicket-taker for India in the Test series as he took 13 wickets in 3 Tests. Siraj earned praises for his spectacular bowling performances and since he justified his selection right, the BCCI selectors picked him for the home assignment against England.

Netizens unhappy with Mohammed Siraj

Friendly fight or a serious one? These two questions popped in everyone’s mind after witnessing a video clip involving the likes of Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj and chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. On Day 1 of the first Test between India and England, these two players hogged the limelight for their actions just outside the dressing room.

A video clip doing the rounds on social media platforms show Indian head coach Ravi Shastri waiting for the Indian players to get back to the dressing room after the end of Day 1. While the Indian players made their way back to the room, Siraj and Kuldeep caught everyone’s attention for their actions. Behind Ravi Shastri, Siraj can be seen forcefully grabbing Kuldeep Yadav’s neck.

The manner in which he tightly grabbed his neck was a bit ‘harsh’ albeit it can be friendly as well. Meanwhile, the commoners aren’t really sure whether there was a serious fight between the two players or is it just a friendly one. It should be noted that Siraj and Kuldeep did not feature for the first Test against England as they are warming the bench. It is cognisance of the fact that Chepauk wicket assists the spinners. But shockingly, the chinaman bowler was not picked.
