What a player Liam Livingstone is!!! The English all-rounder can bat, he can bowl, and he certainly can field. On Sunday, in the game against Punjab Kings, Liam Livingstone plucked a blinder on the boundary to send Abhishek Sharma back to the pavilion.

Punjab Kings are up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last league game of the IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. It is a dead rubber as both teams have been crashed out of the competition and this game will have no bearing on the equation for the playoffs.

The right-arm pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar came out for the toss for SRH instead of Kane Williamson. He opted to bat first after winning the coin flip. However, the Orange Army didn’t have an ideal start as Kagiso Rabada removed Priyam Garg early in the innings.

From there Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi added 47 runs for the 2nd wicket before the latter got out softly off Harpreet Brar’s bowling. Meanwhile, Sharma kept scoring runs while playing his big shots.

The left-handed batter was looking good as he raced to 43 runs off 31 deliveries, including two maximums. However, on the 3rd delivery of the 10th over, Sharma smashed Harpreet Brar towards the long-on. The ball was flying for another maximum but the English all-rounder plucked the ball with a well-timed jump at the boundary.

Liam Livingstone timed his jump right and kept his balance as he was too close to the ropes. The English all-rounder also bowled an economical spell of spin bowling as he returned with the figures of 26/0 in 4 overs.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a par total of 157/8 in 20 overs on a slowish surface, courtesy of a decent partnership between Washington Sundar and Romario Shepherd.
