In the game between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals all-rounder Lalit Yadav produced a moment of brilliance to send KL Rahul back to the dugout.
On Sunday, Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with Delhi Capitals in the 45th match of the IPL 2022. Both sides entered the arena with different agendas as the Super Giants were looking to get closer to the playoffs with a win. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals were looking to stay in the contention of a playoffs spot.
LSG skipper KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first. The Lucknow-based franchise were off to a flyer as the skipper and Quinton de Kock added 42 runs for the first wicket in 4.2 overs.
Once the wicketkeeper-batter was gone KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda added 95 runs for the 2nd wicket. Notably, Lalit Yadav dropped a difficult catch of Rahul off his own bowling early in the innings.
In the death, KL Rahul was looking to finish the innings on a high with some quick runs in the end but a superb effort from Yadav on the boundary cut his innings short.

Shardul Thakur came to bowl the 19th over of the Super Giants’ innings. On the 4th delivery over, he bowled a short and wide delivery to KL Rahul and the batter smashed it towards the deep point. The bowl was traveling for a maximum but Lalit Yadav timed his jump perfectly and arched full to grab a stunner.
Earlier, Lalit Yadav was having a terrible day on the field as he also dropped a simple catch of Marcus Stoinis off Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling. However, the all-rounder managed to redeem himself with the brilliant take.
Talking about the game, it was a nail-biter as Lucknow Super Giants emerged winners by 6 runs in the end.
