WATCH: Jos Buttler pulls off an incredible catch on the ropes to send Rajat Patidar back
On Friday, the English wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler pulled off a brilliant catch on the boundary to dismiss Rajat Patidar. Two sides are currently locking horns in the ‘Royal’s clash’ as Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers are battling it out in the 2nd Qualifier of the Indian Premier League 2022.
Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson invited Faf du Plessis & co. to bat first after winning the coin flip in the knockout game. His decision soon proved to be a right one as Prasidh Krishna removed Virat Kohli in the 2nd over of the innings.
Rajat Patidar joined his skipper Faf du Plessis in the middle and started the recovery phase for the Royals in Red. The duo added 70 runs for the 2nd wicket to build a solid platform for some big-hitting in the death. However, the South African Faf du Plessis got out while trying to play his shots.
However, Rajat Patidar kept playing his shots and completed his half-century to stabilize the RCB’s innings.

In the 16th over of the innings, Patidar tried to hammer Ravi Ashwin over the long-off boundary. However, the ball went flat and Jos Buttler grabbed a well-judged catch over his head.
The momentum was taking him over the ropes but Buttler kept his balance and lobbed the ball to take the catch inside the ropes.

With Rajat’s wicket, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost all the momentum and kept losing wickets from thereon. In the end, they could post only 157/8 in 20 overs.
Chasing the total, the Men in Pink got off to a flyer as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler added 61 runs in five overs. At the time of the writing, Buttler was playing at 44 runs off 19 deliveries as Rajasthan Royals needed only 92 runs off 86 deliveries.
