When Virat scored a match-winning fifty against Gujarat Titans, everyone thought his struggle days are over. The cricket fans were upbeat to see their favourite superstar back among runs. However, it seems like it was one of the rare occasions this season when the Run-Machine actually scored runs. In the 2nd Qualifier, Virat Kohli once again failed with the bat after edging Prasidh Krishna’s delivery to Sanju Samson.

On Friday, Royal Challengers Bangalore are up against Rajasthan Royals in the 2nd Qualifier of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. A lot is on the line as the winner of this game will book their berth in the final against Gujarat Titans.

Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCB’s former skipper Kohli started his knock brightly by smashing left-arm pacer Trent Boult for a maximum.

Prasidh Krishna turns out too hot to handle for Virat Kohli

Despite looking solid in the opening over, the former India skipper failed to kick on with his innings. On the 5th delivery of the 2nd over, pacer Prasidh Krishna delivered a rising delivery from the short of the good length outside the off-stump.

Virat Kohli could not handle the steep bounce and edged the delivery to Sanju Samson behind the stumps while defending it. The right-handed batter walked back with another disappointment after scoring seven runs off eight deliveries.

It was a major setback for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the crunch game. However, Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar managed to recover from Kohli’s wicket with a 70-run partnership for the 2nd wicket.

Meanwhile, the fans didn’t spare Virat Kohli and tore apart the superstar for another failure. They criticized the former batter for not working on his technique and creating unnecessary pressure on his team.
