And, Rishabh Pant can now afford to smile. What a player this guy is!!! Thanks to him and Hardik Pandya, India have risen from the dead to complete an incredible turnaround at Old Trafford to beat England and win the ODI series 2-1. While the wicketkeeper-batter is likely to earn more applause for finishing the game after scoring his maiden ODI hundred, do not forget the contribution of the all-rounder Hardik Pandya. He had an outstanding game first with the ball followed by runs with the bat.

On Sunday, India and England squared off in the final ODI of the three-match series at Old Trafford. It was the series decider as both teams had won one game each after the first two games. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first after winning the crucial toss.

Soon, his decision proved to be a fruitful one as the bowlers removed two English batters early in the innings. However, England batters counter-attacked from there and kept playing their shots throughout the innings. Meanwhile, the Indian bowlers kept chipping away the wickets and in the end, they swept the home team away for 259 in 45.5 overs. The all-rounder Hardik Pandya was the star with the ball as he bagged 4 wickets for 24 runs in 7 overs.
