Questions were raised over KL Rahul’s position in Team India after he returned to the side during the Asia Cup from an injury. However, the classy batter answered his critics by scoring runs. KLR scored 55 runs off 35 runs in the first T20I against Australia. Meanwhile, he smashed back-to-back fifties in the first two T20Is against South Africa.

KL Rahul has carried his form to Australia as well as the Karnataka-born batter has scored two half-centuries in two warm-up games ahead of the tournament at a brisk pace. KL Rahul likes pace and bounce and he likes to bat in Australian conditions.

KLR has a career strike rate of over 140 and if he can maintain that consistency, it would not be a surprise to see him sit at the top of the batting charts. On his given day, KL Rahul can win the game with his bat and Men in Blue will hope to see his best in this edition while looking for their second T20 World Cup 2022 title.
