Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been blowing hot and cold lately. He endured a difficult time with the bat in the Asia Cup 2022. However, he got back among the runs in the recently-concluded tri-series in New Zealand. The elegant batter scored 192 runs in five matches during the tri-series, averaging 48 at a strike rate of 123.87.
Even during the home series against England, Babar Azam amassed a total of 285 runs at an average of 57 while striking a wonderful strike rate of 143.22. The opening batter has consistently notched up runs and he always remains among the top-scoring batters in every competition he features in.
Babar Azam was the top-scoring batter in the last edition of the T20 World Cup in 2022. He scored 303 runs in six matches at an average of over 60. The Pakistan skipper will look to repeat the feat by emerging as the Player of the Tournament.
