The leg-spinner was dropped from the Indian team ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021 courtesy of poor form as Men in Blue selected Rahul Chahar and Varun Chakravarthy over the experienced leggie. However, after a terrible run in the last edition, the Indian team management brought their ace spinner back into the scheme of things.

Yuzvendra Chahal has blown hot and cold ever since his return to the Indian team. While he has impressed with his bowling efforts on several occasions, Yuzi has failed to stay consistent. In fact, the spinner has been pretty inconsistent in the last couple of months leading to the mega event.

This tournament holds the utmost importance for Yuzvendra Chahal as the big boundaries in Australia might help his cause. However, if the leggie fails to create his magic in the T20 World Cup 2022, he might be ousted from the Indian team.
