On Tuesday, former India batter Suresh Raina posted a cryptic tweet on CSK post that has got CSK fans excited for his return to the franchise. The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League concluded recently as the new champions were crowned in the form of the debutants Gujarat Titans. Meanwhile, the defending champions CSK were crashed out of the competition early after a string of poor performances. The Yellow Army missed a consistent performer like Suresh Raina at the top, who was the spine of their batting for years.

Chennai Super Kings released the Chinna Thala ahead of the mega-auction for the IPL 2022 and retained only four players, including MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, and Ravindra Jadeja. While the four-time champions signed back many former players during the auctions, the fans were hoping to see Suresh Raina back in the yellow jersey. However, that didn’t happen and CSK never bid for the left-handed southpaw.

Now, after a poor show from the Super Kings from Chennai, Raina has posted a cryptic tweet on the CSK post that has gone viral.

Suresh Raina hints at a comeback to CSK next season

Chennai Super Kings posted a picture of Suresh Raina alongside his stats of one of his knocks that came in a playoffs game against Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in 2014.

It was one of the best knocks in the history of the IPL as chasing a massive total, Suresh Raina exploded and smashed 87 runs off just 25 deliveries before getting run-out. It was certainly a praise-worthy knock as the franchise appreciated it in its post.

On the same post, Suresh Raina replied with his Avatar emoji with a call sign that excited the fans. The fans opined that the batter wants Chennai Super Kings to sign him next year in the IPL.

Raina is certainly the most-successful batter in CSK history as the left-handed southpaw has amassed 5529 runs in 195 innings for the franchise.
