No one expected it to be a one-way street at the beginning of the series as South Africa have romped India in the 2nd T20 game of the five-match series. Despite entering the series without the services of the seniors, including Virat Kolhi, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and KL Rahul, everyone thought that the current Indian team will make their life difficult.

However, nothing as such happened as the Proteas have now taken a 2-0 lead in the series after defeating India by 4 wickets in the 2nd T20 game. On Sunday, India and South Africa locked horns in the 2nd T20 game at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. The home side entered the game after losing the series opener and they were desperately searching for a win.

South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma invited Rishabh Pant & co. to bat first after winning the toss. The Men in Blue had a terrible start as they lost Ruturaj Gaikwad in the very first over of the innings. From there, the home side struggled for any sort of momentum in their innings all the way to the end. The veteran wicketkeeper tried to provide them with the finishing impetus at the death but India could only post a mediocre total of 148/6 in 20 overs.

The home side began their defence with a bang courtesy of some swing bowling from the veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who clinched three wickets in the powerplay. However, they failed to clinch the wickets regularly.

In the end, South Africa completed the chase in the 19th over with four wickets in hand and ten balls to spare. With this win, South Africa got ahead 2-0 in the series and they just need one win in three matches to seal the series.

The fans were in no mood to spare India after a pathetic display of cricket and they trolled the Men in Blue subsequently.
