Royal Challengers Bangalore issues warning to Dan Christian for ‘violation of contract’

Royal Challengers Bangalore started their IPL campaign on a positive note. They were the only IPL team to win the first four games in a row. However, they encountered their first defeat at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings. After their defeat to CSK, they pulled off a thriller to defeat Delhi Capitals by 1 run.

Then they took on Punjab Kings in their 7th game of the season. They were neither good with the ball nor with the bat. RCB bowlers leaked too many runs and in the end, PBKS posted 179/5 in 20 overs. KL Rahul scored his 25th IPL fifty and went on to score an unbeaten 91 off 57 including 7 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of around 160.

Daniel Christian issued a warning by RCB

Australian all-rounder Dan Christian has found himself in troubled waters after he has reportedly been issued a warning for ‘violation of contract’ by his club, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Not long ago, Christian and his teammate Kyle Jamieson featured in ‘The Grade Cricketer’ channel where the all-rounder shared a few hilarious revelations from inside RCB’s bubble that spread like wildfire on social media.

Christian, in the recent interview, revealed that New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson refused to bowl with dukes ball to Virat Kohli in the nets after the RCB skipper had requested the Kiwi pacer he was interested in bowling to him. Both players will face each other during the ICC World Test Championship final on June 18 in Southampton.

Jamieson didn’t want to bowl to Kohli and smartly turned down the request. This was one of the hilarious revelations that came out in the interview, but though the reason is not clear, it is believed that Daniel Christian has been issued a warning for violation of contract. The video has been removed by The Grade Cricketer YouTube channel.

“Earlier this afternoon, we were informed by Dan Christian that he has been issued a warning for ‘breach of contract’ following his appearance on The Grade Cricketer earlier this week,” The Grade Cricketer said on their YouTube channel.

“We don’t know if the same was applied to Kyle Jamieson. Dan was asked to request us to take the interview down by RCB. On account of our respect for Dan and his contract, we’ve taken it down.”
