RCB vs RR Head-to-Head record in the history of IPL
Three games have been washed out so far.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the most consistent teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. They are known for their reputation for qualifying for the playoffs, more often than not. RCB have qualified for the playoffs on eight occasions, which is indeed worth applauding. Besides that, they are the only team to make it to the playoffs in the last three seasons.
This literally goes to show that they have been consistent in the last three seasons. However, they lacked the cutting-edge and the final end product to go for the title. In fact, they have made it to the finals on three occasions – IPL 2009, 2011 and 2016 seasons respectively. Unfortunately, they disappointingly lost all three crucial finals.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals announced themselves as a phenomenal force in the IPL in the inaugural edition. They made it all the way to the finals of the competition and got the better of Chennai Super Kings in the intriguing climax. However, since then, they have had a string of failures in the upcoming seasons and remained inconsistent too.
Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals operated smoothly as a team in the IPL 2022 season. Rajasthan Royals went on to book their berth for the final for the second time. As it turned out, Rajasthan Royals surrendered at the hands of Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 final.
