How good Rahul Tripathi is? The youngster has stamped his authority for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season and made the number three position his own. Moreover, the right-handed batter is the highest-scoring uncapped player of the season.

Rahul Tripathi once again proved his worth with a whirlwind knock of 76 runs against Mumbai Indians in a vital game for the Orange Army. Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad are up against each other in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League 2022. It is a do-or-die game for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they must win this game with a big margin to stay alive in the competition.

Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma invited Kane Williamson and co. to bat first after winning the toss. The five-time champions made a solid start with the ball as Daniel Sams removed Abhishek Sharma early in the innings.

After the fall of Sharma, Priyam Garg was joined by Tripathi in the middle. The 31-year old batter started to play his shots straight away and gave the momentum to SRH’s innings. He was in such a brilliant mood that he smashed Jasprit Bumrah for a maximum and two consecutive boundaries in the last three balls of the 5th over.

Rahul Tripathi kept hitting from the one end and scored 77 runs off 44 deliveries, including nine boundaries and three maximums. In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to post a massive total of 193/6 in 20 overs.

Meanwhile, with this knock, Rahul Tripathi became the highest run-getter for SRH this season with 393 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 161.72. He also has jumped to 8th place in the list of the highest run-getters in the IPL 2022.
