Cricket fans are in for a treat as Pakistan confirmed another Indo-Pak clash in the Asia Cup 2022 with a statement win over Hong Kong in the final group game. All four berths of Super 4 have now been sealed as India and Pakistan have advanced from Group A, while Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have advanced from Group B. Now all four teams will face each other once in the Super 4 and the top two teams will advance to the final.

India and Pakistan are now scheduled to lock horns for the 2nd time in the competition in the 2nd game of the Super 4 on Sunday. Pakistan were in a spot of bother ahead of the game as it was a do-or-die match for them. Hong Kong won the toss and invited their opposition to bat first. The veteran spinner Ehsan Ali proved the decision of his skipper right by scalping the prized wicket of Babar Azam early in the innings.

However, Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman stitched a vital partnership of 116 runs for the 2nd wicket to stabilize Pakistan. Meanwhile, it was the finishing impetus from Khushdil Shah, who smashed unbeaten 35 runs off just 15 deliveries, including five maximums that took Men in Green to a massive total of 193/2 after 20 overs.

Pakistan bowlers uprooted Hong Kong batting to seal the clash against India

Pakistani new ball bowlers, Naseem Shah and Shahnawaz Dahani were brilliant with the new ball again as they uprooted Hong Kong’s top three batters inside the first five overs. The spinners took the charge from thereon as the Asian giants bundled out the minnows for just 38 runs in 10.4 overs. Pakistan completed a massive 155-run win and they are looking good to take on scratchy India once again.
