Kane Williamson’s centuries in Test Cricket

Williamson has highlighted his strong technicalities in all formats and test cricket has been no different. The right-hander has scored 28 test centuries so far in his test career registering 8124 runs with a highest score of 251 in 94 tests. He scored a century on his test debut in 2010 against India at Ahmedabad’s Motera stadium and became the 8th New Zealander to score a century on his test debut.

He is the only New Zealander to score the most double hundreds in test cricket (6). The right-hander has scored 5 of his 28 test hundreds against Pakistan. 12 of his test centuries have come away. Williamson’s 17 out of 28 hundreds have given New Zealand wins.

Kane Williamson’s Centuries in ODI Cricket

The Kiwi skipper has been one of the cleanest timers of the ball in the limited-overs format. The right-hander is a fine player of spin and pace. He has registered 13 centuries in his ODI career so far scoring 6554 runs with an average of 47.83 with a highest score of 148. Williamson is also a fine fielder. The 34-year-old was the skipper of the 2008 under-19 team World Cup team.

Under his captaincy, New Zealand reached two world cup finals (the 2019 limited overs world cup in England and the 2021 T20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi). Under his captaincy, New Zealand also won the World Test Championship in 2021. In the limited-overs format, Williamson has highlighted tremendous consistency.

The New Zealand skipper has the adaptability to change his style of play depending on the format. The 34-year-old has looked technically competent in the shorter format like the test as well as the 50 overs format. Williamson hasn’t scored a century yet in the shorter format but has scored 17 half-centuries.

Kane Williamson IPL Centuries

Williamson hasn’t scored a century in his IPL career but he has scored 18 half-centuries. Under his captaincy, Sunriseres Hyderabad made it to the 2018 IPL final.
