IRE vs IND: The national selection committee announced the Indian squad for the T20I series against Ireland later this month. While there haven’t been many changes from the squad that is currently playing against the Proteas, the captaincy duties have been handed over to the all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, from the current squad, will be a part of the Test side against England. Hence, the selectors have picked Rahul Tripathi for the national side for the first time in his career. Moreover, the southpaw Suryakumar Yadav has also returned after recovering from the injury.

Here we will talk about India’s strongest possible playing XI in the IRE vs IND T20s and the best combination Team India could field in the first game.

India’s strongest playing XI for Ireland T20s:

The left-hand-right-hand combo of Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad has done a decent job for India in the first three T20s against South Africa so far.

Ishan Kishan has been in a destructive form in the first three games as the left-handed southpaw has scored 164 runs in 3 matches at a strike rate of 157.69. He also has two half-centuries against his name.

On the other hand, after two failures in the first two games, Ruturaj Gaikwad picked up the form with a scintillating fifty in the 3rd game. The right-handed batter will look to continue his good form and he is likely to open in Ireland as well.
