Middle Order – Rahul Tripathi, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya
Rahul Tripathi is expected to replace Shreyas Iyer at the number three position. He was the best number three batter in the IPL 2022 and it would be great for him if he bats at his natural position as Tripathi amassed 413 runs in 14 matches during the IPL 2022 at a strike rate of over 158.
Suryakumar Yadav will be back at the number four, a position he is likely to bat in the T20 World Cup. The return of SKY will provide the Indian batting much-needed solidity as well in IRE vs IND T20Is. He was in a fabulous form before getting injured as the Mumbai Indians’ batter scored 303 runs in 8 matches before getting injured.
The skipper Hardik Pandya will come at the number five, a position he is batting at in the South Africa series. He has scored 71 runs in three innings so far at a strike rate of 157.77.
