IPL 2024: DC official PKSV Sagar provides update on Rishabh Pant
PKSV Sagar, an official member of the franchise Delhi Capitals (DC), has provided an update on Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who has been recovering from multiple injuries suffered during a car accident last year.
Sharing the update, Sagar stated that the management are hoping for Pant’s return in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He also revealed that the cricketer is recovering well and might get fit by March.
“Yes, we are hoping for the best we can expect that he will play this season. He is the biggest player…..if he plays then it will be good for us. Our coaches and physio are doing work on him and the best part is that he is recovering very well. We hope by March he will fit and play for us,” Sagar quoted by NDTV.

Will Rishabh Pant make his way into the T20 World Cup 2024?
While the chances are less, one cannot stop counting on Rishabh Pant for the upcoming T20 World Cup. If the left-handed batter manages to make a comeback in the IPL and performs well then he will have a concrete case to receive the national call.
However, he will have to face tight competition from the likes of KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma. The recently concluded three-match T20I series couldn’t give a clear-cut option for the wicketkeeper role.
While Jitesh managed to play one good knock in two games, Sanju failed to utilize the only opportunity he got. It will come down to the performance in the cash-rich league.
The Indian management will be closely monitoring the player’s performances in the IPL 2024 to pick the squad for the mega-event later this year, which will be played in West Indies and the USA.
