2. Top order: Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Nicholas Pooran

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson had a breakthrough season as a batsman in IPL 2024 season. The Kerala-born mustered 531 runs in 13 games, which is his best-ever run-scoring tally in a single edition. Moreover, he maintained an average of 48.27 and a strike rate of 153.47, laced with 5 fifties.

Riyan Parag surprised all of us with his mature batting display throughout the season. The youngster unleashed the best version of himself by finishing the season as the leading run-scorer for the Royals. He scored 573 runs in 15 games including 4 fifties at an average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 153.47.

Nicholas Pooran was the shining light in Lucknow Super Giants’ batting department. The Caribbean not only finished the season as the LSG’s leading run-getter but also played the game with intent. He scored 499 runs in 15 games at an average of 62.38 and a strike rate of 178.21 including 3 fifties.

3. Middle-order: Heinrich Klaasen

If there is one batsman who has led the middle-order batting unit by example, then it is Heinrich Klaasen, without the shadow of a doubt. The South African international pitched in with impactful knocks for the Sunrisers this season. Having played 16 games, he scored 479 runs at an average of close to 40.

Notably, he slammed three half-centuries and also chipped in with quickfire cameos which helped SRH add flesh to the scoreboard in the fag end of the overs. Overall, he maintained a strike rate of 171.07.
