4. Fazalhaq Farooqi
The promising cricketer from Afghanistan is known for his ability to bowl effective yorkers and slower balls, making him unpredictable in the death overs. His variations can deceive batsmen and contain runs in crucial final overs of T20 matches.
His pace and control over line and length makes him a valuable asset. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to play a single game for the Hyderabad-based franchise. The 23-year-old played 7 games for SRH wherein he took six wickets at an economy of 8.96.
5. Tom Curran
RCB had a terrible bowling attack in the first half of IPL 2024. They conceded plenty of runs and ended up losing most of the games. The Bengaluru-based franchise experimented with other pace bowling options. They tried with Reece Topley, Lockie Ferguson and Alzarri Joseph but couldn’t get it right one bit.
RCB could have gone with Tom Curran whom they bought for his base price of INR 1.5 crores at the IPL 2024 auction. Unfortunately, he did not get to play even a single game for them, despite his potential to take wickets and score handy runs with the bat down the order.
