IPL 2023: Predicting strongest starting XI of Rajasthan Royal (RR) for the season
Rajasthan Royals are looking well balanced.
Bowlers: Yuzvendra Chahal, Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult
Yuzvendra Chahal had his best time in IPL 2022, where he managed to pick up 27 wickets in 17 games at an economy of just 7.75. He also won the Purple Cap for the first time in his career. Once again, he will be expected to provide important breakthroughs to help his side win games.
Sandeep Sharma came in as a replacement for pacer Prasidh Krishna, who was ruled out of the entire season following surgery. He is an experienced bowler with 114 wickets in 104 games, with an economy of 7.77. His ability to swing the ball in both directions will be a lethal option in the powerplay overs.
Trent Boult is no longer a part of New Zealand’s central contract and hence, he will be fresh for the cash-rich league. He will be seen leading the pace attack for the Rajasthan Royals. Last season, he picked up 16 wickets in 16 games at an economy of 7.94. The pacer will be expected to provide early blows to the oppositions.
