Royal Challengers Bangalore spearhead Mohammed Siraj was the only bowler, who had good bowling figures for the franchise this season. He took 17 wickets at an economy rate of 7.52.

Meanwhile, the rest of the unit proved to be very expensive with the ball. Josh Hazlewood conceded runs at an economy rate of 8.44, while Harshal Patel had an economy rate of 9.65.

The likes of Karn Sharma, Vyshak Vijaykumar and Shahbaz Ahmed gave runs at a rate of more than 10 runs per over. The inability of the bowling attack to contain runs proved to be a huge drawback for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2023 Indian Premier League.
