In their inaugural season, the Lucknow Super Giants produced a pretty impressive performance. They managed to reach the playoffs at their very first attempt after finishing 3rd in the points table.

Despite their solid performances, Lucknow Super Giants had a few shortcomings in their playing XI, primarily in their batting. Thus, they had to over-rely on their opening duo of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. LSG management have released underperformers in their squad, including Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, and Evin Lewis.

Lucknow Super Giants have the 3rd-biggest purse of INR 23.35 crore and have to fill an overall ten slots, including four overseas slots. They need to strengthen in certain areas, including a middle-order batter, an off-spinner, an Indian pacer, and most importantly a batting all-rounder.

In this post, we will take a look at the top 3 players Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) might target in the mini-auction.

The pacer from Himachal Pradesh played for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2022. He played five matches for the franchise and picked up only three wickets. Hence, the franchise released him ahead of the next edition.

Vaibhav Arora displayed great form during the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 as he bagged 10 wickets in 7 matches at an economy rate of 7.44. After the release of Ankit Rajpoot, LSG will need an Indian pacer as the back-up in the squad.

The Lucknow Super Giants are likely to go after the right-handed pacer as he would be a quality back-up for the likes of Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan in the squad.
