Delhi Capitals are locking horns with Rajasthan Royals in the 36th match of the IPL 2021. The match is taking place at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited the opposition to bat first.

Rajasthan Royals bowlers started the game quite well as they kept the in-form DC openers in check. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw came out with an intent to score runs but were dismissed for cheap scores in the fourth and fifth over respectively.

Kartik Tyagi continued to impress yet again as he dismissed Shikhar Dhawan for 8 runs. Tyagi stuck to his line and length but Dhawan tried to defend the ball. As it turned out, the ball bounced at the crease before hitting the stumps.

Prithvi Shaw was under immense pressure when he consumed too many balls. Chetan Sakariya did a perfect job by keeping him silent. However, Shaw tried to play a shot but ended up getting dismissed by Sakariya as Liam Livingstone took a good catch.

Shikhar Dhawan gets dismissed in an unlucky fashion

DC’s veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan got off to a slow start. The southpaw smashed one boundary to his name while playing a run-a-ball knock of 8 off 8 balls. Kartik Tyagi who showcased his bowling masterclass in the last game against Punjab Kings dismissed Dhawan in the very first ball of the fourth over.
