IPL 2021: KL Rahul grabs a one-handed scorcher; Ishan Porel performs khaby style celebration
KL Rahul's catch impressed the netizen.
Punjab Kings locked horns with Rajasthan Royals in the 33rd match of the cash-rich Indian Premier League. As far as the first leg is concerned, Punjab Kings posted 221/6 in 20 overs at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. PBKS captain KL Rahul scored 91 off 50 deliveries including 7 fours and 5 sixes.
In reply, Rajasthan Royals almost pulled off a heist in the run-chase but lost the game by a whisker of 4 runs. Sanju Samson played a scintillating knock as he added 119 off 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 hits over the fence. Samson was named the Player of the Match for his imperious batting.
Talking about the second leg, PBKS captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rajasthan Royals got off to a flying start in the form of Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The opening duo added a 54-run stand for the opening wicket before Arshdeep Singh dismissed Evin Lewis.
KL Rahul take a one-handed stunner to dismiss Sanju Samson
Having scored a century in the first leg, a lot was expected of Sanju Samson to fire in the second leg. Nonetheless, the RR captain failed to fire the goods as he departed after scoring just 4 runs. The incident took place during the very first ball of the 8th over when Ishan Porel bowled wide off the off-stump.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson decided to smash the ball with brute force. As it turned out, he got a massive inside edge in the follow-through. At first, it never looked like KL Rahul would take a catch but the PBKS captain gave it all as he jumped to perfection and took a one-handed stunner.

Meanwhile, Ishan Porel’s khaby style celebration was just the icing on the cake. The video clip of the same has gone viral on social media. Talking about the game RR posted 185 in their quota of 20 overs. In reply, PBKS lost the game by 2 runs.
